The Role:
We are seeking a commercially astute and people-focused Manager – Sales to lead SMCT's sales function and drive sustainable revenue growth while delivering compassionate, ethical and accessible services to the communities we serve. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Sales & Product, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the sales strategy, leading a high-performing team, and using customer, market and operational insights to drive growth, innovation and continuous improvement. This role will suit a strategic leader who is passionate about customer experience, enjoys building capability within teams, and can confidently balance commercial outcomes with SMCT's community purpose.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of SMCT's sales strategy, plans and growth initiatives
Drive revenue, margin, conversion and customer experience outcomes across multiple sales channels
Lead, coach and develop high-performing sales teams, fostering engagement and accountability
Use CRM data, market insights and performance metrics to inform decision-making and forecasting
Champion digital sales, automation and technology solutions to improve productivity and customer outcomes
Build strong relationships with customers, communities and internal stakeholders to support sustainable growth
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sales processes, customer journeys and service models
Ensure sales practices align with governance, compliance and ethical standards
Your Profile:
Proven experience leading customer-facing sales teams to achieve revenue and growth targets
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in sales strategy, forecasting, budgeting and pipeline management
Demonstrated experience using CRM systems, sales analytics and performance reporting tools
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing and motivating teams
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
Experience leading change, driving continuous improvement and implementing new ways of working
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant equivalent leadership experience
