Mental Health Support Worker – CLS, Western Sydney
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Western Sydney; Hills LGA
Roster: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm shifts
Classification: SCHADS Level 3 (40.49 per hour - $43.42 per hour) + generous salary packaging benefits

As a Mental Health Support Worker with Community Living Supports (CLS), you’ll support people living with mental health challenges to build confidence, develop everyday skills and work towards their personal recovery goals.
You’ll be based at our North Parramatta office, with regular outreach across the Hills LGA.
Your day will be varied. You’ll start your day at the office, head out into the community to meet and support consumers in their homes and local community, and return to the office to finish your day.
You’ll build genuine relationships with consumers and provide practical, one-on-one psychosocial support based on their needs, goals and recovery plans. You’ll help people build independence, stay connected with their community and take positive steps towards their wellbeing.
About Community Living Supports (CLS)
The Community Living Supports (CLS) Of Uniting is a community outreach service assisting adults across NSW recover and transition to quality of life in the community. The service delivery is individualised and flexible. Targeting individuals with stable housing, service provision commences from the inpatient unit and transitions into the community.
Role
Overview
Your day-to-day work will include:
Providing individualised psychosocial support to consumers.
Supporting people living with severe and persistent mental illness.
Working with consumers to develop and work towards their individual recovery goals.
Supporting the development, monitoring and review of individual recovery plans.
Building positive relationships with consumers, families, carers, clinicians and community organisations.
Supporting consumers to develop confidence, independence and everyday living skills.
Maintaining clear and accurate documentation, including progress notes, assessments and reports.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Certificate IV in Mental Health or a related field.
Experience working with people living with severe and persistent mental illness.
An understanding of recovery-oriented mental health practice.
Experience developing individual support or recovery plans with consumers.
The ability to provide person-centred and individualised psychosocial support.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Good documentation and report-writing skills.
A current full driver’s licence.
