About the role

You'll join the Cybersecurity team and work closely with engineering, facility operations, construction and vendors to lift OT security across a multi-site data centre portfolio. It's a hands-on engineering role, suited to someone who can turn security requirements into practical solutions on the ground.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the delivery of the OT security uplift program
  • Assessing OT networks, ICS/SCADA, BMS and EPMS environments, and recommending fixes
  • Helping develop OT security standards aligned to ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82
  • Embedding security controls into new builds, retrofits and live systems
  • Designing secure OT network architecture, segmentation and hardening
  • Deploying and tuning OT monitoring tools (asset discovery, anomaly detection)
  • Supporting OT incident response, patching, firmware updates and vulnerability remediation
  • Building relationships with vendors and integrators to make sure systems are delivered securely

What you'll bring

  • 4 to 7 years experience, including 2 to 3 years in OT security, ICS/SCADA security or critical infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, OPC)
  • Experience with BMS, EPMS, PLCs and industrial controllers
  • OT network segmentation and hardening experience (Windows, Linux, HMIs, controllers)
  • Exposure to OT vulnerability management and incident response
  • Experience applying ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-82 or similar frameworks
  • The ability to explain security in plain English to engineers and operations teams

Nice to have

  • GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443 certification or CCNA
  • Experience in data centres, utilities, manufacturing, mining or other critical infrastructure

What's on offer

  • $145k + super + STI
  • Extra paid recharge days a year on top of annual leave
  • Wellness allowance
  • Extra paid parental leave (primary carer)
  • Flexible start and finish times

Please note: Australian citizenship is required, as the role may need NV1 clearance in future. The role includes a shared on-call roster, with time off in lieu.
