Job description

Work with major Australian brands on innovative, market-leading products in a high-ambition, no-nonsense and supportive culture, where your ideas are valued and your growth is actively supported.

What we do

At Holocentric, we develop products that give organizations an asymmetric advantage by enabling faster, cheaper, and more robust operational, risk, and compliance decisions at scale. We are proud to have long-term partnerships with many iconic Australian brands across banking, airlines, utilities, universities, and government sectors. Backed by Constellation Software, a leading listed software company, we anticipate accelerated growth with new products and business models in the coming years.

What it is like working in our team

Join a motivated, practical team with bold yet realistic goals. We openly discuss priorities and focus on what matters most.

Collaboration is key: flat hierarchy, no politics, and every voice counts. Support, feedback, and coaching are standard. You’re never alone when challenges arise.

We celebrate all wins and embrace learning from mistakes. We prefer trying and failing over analysis paralysis to drive innovation.

We value doing right by colleagues and customers, with transparency and a no-nonsense attitude. We work hard to keep our promises.

What you will be working on

You will own Holocentric's core Decision Intelligence product. Decision Intelligence helps large organizations make consequential decisions quickly and with confidence, when the evidence they need is spread across systems, documents and the knowledge of people in different teams. The product brings that knowledge and operational data together at the point a decision has to be made. Decision Intelligence helps large organisations make consequential decisions quickly and with confidence, when the evidence they need is spread across systems, documents and the knowledge of people in different teams. The product brings that knowledge and operational data together at the point a decision has to be made. AI accelerates the analysis, judgement stays with people, and every conclusion is traceable to its source.

The product supports the full decision lifecycle: analysing what a change affects, developing and comparing options, making and recording the decision, translating it into delivery work, and measuring the outcome. The first release delivers the analysis stage, and the roadmap extends through the remaining stages to 2027. Our clients operate in regulated environments, where a decision that can’t be traced and defended carries real consequences.

You will work in a mob with an architect, a tech lead, engineers and QA. The mob works together across the full development lifecycle, from framing the problem through to release, so product decisions are made with technical and quality considerations in the room. We build using Agile methods and an MVP mindset.

About the role

We are looking for a product manager to own Decision Intelligence as a product line. The role is both strategic and operational.

On the strategic side, you decide what goes into the product and set the roadmap. Those decisions rest on a deep understanding of the people who use it, the value it creates for them and for Holocentric, and the domain it serves. On the operational side, you turn those decisions into delivery: defining features, writing requirements and establishing the backlog the mob works from.

Prioritisation sits at the centre of the role. You will weigh user value, commercial value and technical considerations, working closely with the mob and with our clients to understand each, and then make the call. You lead through influence, and your decisions carry weight because they are well grounded and clearly communicated.

What you will own

Requirements & Delivery (70% of your time)

  • Define features and write product requirements the mob can build from with minimal clarification
  • Establish and maintain the product backlog
  • Work with the mob to scope, plan and deliver features across the full development lifecycle
  • Use prototyping tools and requirements practice to elaborate and communicate product requirements
  • Apply an AI-first approach to prototyping and requirements work

Product Strategy, Roadmap and Prioritization(30% of your time)

  • Own the product strategy and decide what goes into the product
  • Drive the feature roadmap for Decision Intelligence
  • Build a deep understanding of our users, the value the product creates and the domain it serves
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their problems and the market they operate in
  • Make prioritisation decisions, working closely with the mob and clients to understand user value, commercial value and technical considerations

What success will look like

In your first few months, you’ll be making an impact when you:

  • Help most sprints complete smoothly with minimal rework (we track this and typically see 80%+ success rates)
  • Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap, grounded in user value, commercial value and technical considerations
  • Make prioritisation decisions the mob and our clients understand and can act on
  • Represent the product in client conversations and build strong working relationships with key client and internal stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users, the domain the product serves and the problems our clients need solved

People who thrive here:

  • Work effectively with autonomy: they identify what needs doing and do it
  • Make clear decisions when needed, even when opinions differ
  • Welcome feedback and review as opportunities to strengthen their work
  • Have experience where their product decisions directly shaped significant business outcomes

We move fast, give direct feedback, and encourage you to push back when something doesn’t make sense. If that environment appeals to you, keep reading.

What you bring

Must haves:

  • Understanding of client and market problems: You develop a deep understanding of the problems your clients face and the markets they operate in, and use it to decide what the product should do.
  • Client engagement: You build strong working relationships with client stakeholders and work through priorities, scope and trade-offs with them directly.
  • Leadership through influence: You lead and influence from an informal leadership position.
  • Prioritisation: You weigh user value, commercial value and technical considerations, make the call, and can explain the basis for it.
  • Technical fluency: You understand technical and architectural constraints well enough to weigh them in product decisions and work confidently alongside architects and engineers.
  • AI-first practice: You are comfortable using AI tools and apply an AI-first approach to reach outcomes.
  • Agile and MVP delivery: You are familiar with Agile methods and apply an MVP mindset to delivery.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in product management roles
  • Experience owning product strategy and roadmap for a B2B product
  • Experience with B2B SaaS products for enterprise clients
  • Proven track record working with external clients and managing their expectations
  • Experience working closely with architecture, engineering and QA in cross-functional delivery teams
  • Used AI tools to materially improve your output quality and speed
  • Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency

Desirable

  • Experience in regulated industries
  • Eligibility for an Australian Government security clearance (requires Australian citizenship)

Perks of the job

  • Options for hybrid working
  • A collaborative bonus that reflects company performance
  • Access to a vast range of professional development resources, training courses and leadership accelerators
  • Access to a network of thousands of thought leaders and experts in our parent company
  • Opportunity to attend international conferences twice a year (we send about a third of the company each time)

Important Information

Holocentric is a diverse and equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. You do need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for this role.

You may on occasion be required to be physically present at a client’s or our North Sydney office to work with the client or the team.
