About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a nationally significant digital program. The program is focused on systems and integration and is in its early stages. You’ll coordinate a growing team of project managers across internal and client-side projects, keeping information, people, and project practices moving in the right direction. This role suits a confident coordinator who understands how projects work. You’ll be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment and won’t hesitate to raise concerns when something isn’t right.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project onboarding, including system access, project information, and inclusion in project practices for new team members
  • Support multiple Project and Program Managers, building working relationships with up to eight PMs across the client and partner organisations
  • Maintain risk, issue, action and decision registers, and chase owners through to resolution
  • Make sure project information reaches the right people at the right time across a range of collaboration and planning tools
  • Coordinate meetings, governance forums and project communications, both formal and informal
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, blockers and concerns to project leadership
  • Support continuous improvement of project practices and tooling as the program scales
Essential Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments
  • Hands-on understanding of project delivery mechanics, beyond administrative support
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the maturity to stay composed under pressure and work through difficult stakeholder situations
  • Confidence to speak up, challenge and raise issues with senior stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a mixed tooling environment (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, Teams)
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain Baseline security clearance
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working in government, and/or consulting to government from the private sector
  • Exposure to national digital programs or health sector agencies
  • Background with boutique consultancies, Big 4 advisory, or major technology vendors
  • Experience supporting greenfield programs through rapid growth
