Job description

About Droppoint:

Every day, field service organisations (FSOs) are moving parts and delivering services all around the world. Many of these organisations are being forced to use old, outdated systems for increasingly complex problems.

Droppoint is the software and logistics solution to these key problems for FSOs. We have BIG aspirations to radically change the way teams manage their field services operations and logistics.

We exist to solve fundamental problems within the field service logistics chain. Our team partners with leaders across a huge array of industries — from elevators to medical devices to technology — to transform how field service teams work, unlocking meaningful productive time and increased delivery of services.

We're results-driven. We care deeply about creating solutions for our clients that work.

About the Role

We're passionate about building software that solves big problems for our customers.

As the Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products for our clients. Working closely with the Lead QA, you will test and validate or product and systems, contributing to the success of our software.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects for our users, employing your keen attention to detail to conduct thorough testing in an agile team. This position is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our software solutions.

Please note that this is an on-site role that requires attendance in our North Wollongong Head office at least 2 days per week.

This is a 12-month contract, with option to extend for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with developers to elicit and clarify features/fix requirements
  • Assist with end-to-end sprint execution, including work scoping, team capacity management, progress tracking, and issue mitigation
  • Identification and implementation of leading industry QA practises and tools, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Design, record, and execute test plans/cases within Droppoint’s software solution suite
  • Comply with all established QA workflows/processes, practices, and quality standards
  • Conduct production post-release validations and smoke tests
  • Contribute to the technical realisation of the OTOB strategy
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development workflow/ process

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in manual testing.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of proven QA and testing experience is required for this position.
  • Proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps or similar platforms for test management and collaboration.
  • Ability to identify gaps in Acceptance Criteria and raise issues for rectification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, coupled with a proactive mindset towards problem-solving.

What We Value

  • You look beyond symptoms to understand root causes and develop solutions that improve the system.
  • You test with an understanding of how people interact with the product, not just how the system is meant to behave.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment with frequent releases, adapting seamlessly to changing work assignments.
  • Strong attention to detail, enabling you to meticulously test the product or system and identify even the most obscure bugs and defects.
  • You work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.
  • You understand that being a good tester means learning continuously, working independently, and making decisions with minimal supervision.

Benefits for You

  • Competitive salary.
  • 12-month contract with potential extension.
  • Work with our unique, one-of-a-kind SaaS Product in a niche logistics space.
  • Office located at the Innovation Campus in Wollongong – a hub of new technology.

What Next?

We are a fast-moving company striving to achieve big things, and we want talented people to help us get there.

We believe a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences is the backbone of our company culture and creates better outcomes for our team.

If you are keen to see how you can help build our big future in the intersection between technology and logistics, we'd love to chat.

At Droppoint we commit to acknowledging all applications and providing updates on the status, regardless of the outcome.
