QA Automation Analyst
Job description
Our client is an Australian technology company, delivering cutting-edge technology around the world. Due to a busy period, they require a Quality Assurance Analyst with good all-rounder experience including Automation scripting join their team.
- Mid-to-senior level role, 6 month contract starting ASAP
- South Melbourne location, hybrid 3 days in office
- Daily rates negotiable depending on experience, expecting approx. $600 to $800 range
The QA Analyst is responsible for the quality of the client's future and existing technology products. This position will involve testing of specialised high-performance Win32 desktop applications, as well as modern web-based applications, back-end microservices and APIs. This is role requires automation and manual testing skills.
Responsibilities
- Requirements analysis, designing detailed test cases, and detailing testing procedures, from requirement specifications
- Ability to perform both manual and automation testing within sprints
- Assisting with migration of testing suite to TestComplete, and developing new scripts/frameworks with VB Script
- Ensure all product releases meet or exceed defined quality goals
- Work with business analysts, development teams, and internal groups to ensure customer/business requirements are met
- Attends design review and user meetings as required
- Document test cases, test plans, test results and defects as needed
- Performs the executions of the test plan, continually analysing testing efforts for completeness
- Performs system integration, functional, volume, user interface and performance testing on modifications and enhancements before production release through manual and automated techniques
- Create, maintain, and run automated test scripts
- Analyses failure/success of automated scripts and makes modifications as required
- Participate in Agile estimations, planning, daily ceremonies and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team and personal performance
- Be a collaborative, active and positive member of the Software Development team who operates in alignment with the clients Values
To apply for this role, you will need the following:
- A minimum of 2-3 years automation testing experience
- Experience with testing Win32 / Windows based Desktop applications
- Experience with TestComplete and developing automation scripts
- Good skills in testing across manual, API, data, etc. and any
- exposure to edge technology/IoT is highly regarded
- Ability to conduct functional testing, regression testing, system-level integration testing, end-to end testing and acceptance testing
- Experience in automation testing of the following Tech stack -Java, AWS, Postgres DB, Azure DevOps is a bonus
- Well-developed verbal, listening, comprehension and written communication skills
