Take your expertise to the next level with a Senior Diesel Technician role at our Laverton branch.

Working on some of the industry’s most advanced Caterpillar equipment, you’ll combine your technical expertise with the opportunity to mentor technicians and apprentices, set high standards and provide technical leadership across the workshop.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced technician who enjoys solving complex problems, takes pride in quality workmanship and is ready to be recognised as a senior member of the team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this hands-on senior role, you’ll be at the heart of our service operation – diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Caterpillar earthmoving equipment while supporting technicians and apprentices on the workshop floor.

Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment

Advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault-finding

Mentoring, coaching and supporting apprentices and service technicians

Completing all job-related documentation and paperwork accurately

Opening, closing and invoicing Service Work Orders

Delivering consistent, high-quality customer service

Acting as back-up to the Team Leader when required

Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, health and environmental procedures

ABOUT YOU

You’re an experienced Diesel Technician who takes pride in your workmanship, leads with confidence, and brings a strong safety-first mindset to everything you do.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

Trade qualification as a Diesel Technician

Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment

Strong diagnostic and technical capability

Ability to mentor, motivate and develop apprentices and technicians

Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude

Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously

An unwavering commitment to safety, health and environmental standards
