Senior Full Stack Engineer

About this role

As a senior hands-on engineer within a platform-focused team, you’ll design and build shared services and applications used across multiple squads. This role blends full-stack engineering with platform thinking — focusing on scalability, reusability, and operational excellence.

You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, security and delivery teams to create solutions that are reliable, secure, and easy to adopt across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building backend APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Developing modern frontend and mobile experiences using Angular/React and Swift/Kotlin
• Building shared platform services, reusable components and developer tooling
• Driving CI/CD, automation and containerised deployments (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Improving platform reliability, observability and developer workflows

What you’ll bring (Must Have)

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and REST-based microservices architecture
• Frontend expertise in Angular or React, plus mobile capability (Swift and Kotlin)
• Experience in Financial Services, Financial Technology or Wealth Management sectors
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and Git-based CI/CD (e.g. GitLab)
• Strong understanding of testing, observability and secure development (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)

Nice To Have

• Integration and messaging experience (e.g. Kafka, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, JMS, SOAP)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/OCI) and modern data tooling
• Experience with DevOps ecosystem tools (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, SonarQube, etc.)
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack)
• Experience in wealth/financial platforms and enterprise engineering environments
