Sr. SEO & AEO Copywriter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. SEO & AEO Copywriter based in Brazil.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced SEO copywriter to help build an in-house organic growth engine from the ground up. You’ll transform search strategy into useful, authoritative, and engaging content designed to perform across traditional and AI-powered search. The role combines hands-on writing, on-page optimization, content research, and AI-assisted workflows. You’ll work closely with SEO and development stakeholders to turn keyword strategies into publish-ready pages and continuously improve existing content. Your work will directly influence organic visibility, audience engagement, and business growth. This is an autonomous role suited to someone who combines strong editorial judgment with technical SEO knowledge and a process-oriented mindset.

Accountabilities

• Create and publish SEO- and AEO-focused content end to end, including solution pages, landing pages, guides, keyword-cluster pages, and content refreshes.
• Translate keyword clusters, search intent, audience needs, and business priorities into clear, useful, and well-researched content.
• Use AI-powered tools such as AirOps, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms for research, outlining, and drafting while applying human judgment to ensure accuracy, originality, voice, and factual quality.
• Optimize existing content using performance data from tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics, identifying opportunities to rewrite, consolidate, or improve pages.
• Apply on-page SEO best practices, including headings, metadata, internal linking, schema markup, page structure, and basic SERP analysis.
• Research competitors, benchmarks, content gaps, and emerging opportunities to strengthen the organic content strategy.
• Own and maintain the editorial calendar and publishing cadence, providing clean, development-ready handoffs to the WordPress developer.
• Help establish scalable content processes, editorial standards, and workflows that support consistent production and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with the SEO & AEO Manager and development stakeholders to align content execution with broader organic-growth objectives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional copywriting or content-writing experience, including 3+ years producing SEO-focused content in an SEO copywriter or similar role.
• A portfolio of published work demonstrating strong writing ability and evidence of contributing to organic traffic growth.
• Proven ability to turn keyword clusters and search intent into well-researched, engaging, publish-ready content.
• Strong understanding of on-page SEO, including headings, metadata, internal linking, schema, page structure, search intent, and basic SERP analysis.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted content workflows, using AI tools to improve research and productivity while maintaining high standards for originality, accuracy, tone, and fact-checking.
• Experience managing a consistent publishing cadence and preparing clear, accurate handoffs for developers.
• Near-native or native-level English proficiency, with C2-level written and spoken English required for communicating with U.S. and international audiences.
• Strong understanding of audience needs, customer pain points, search behavior, and content designed to serve different stages of the user journey.
• Highly organized and autonomous, with the ability to create processes, prioritize work, and deliver consistently without constant supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with SEO, content, and technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with modern SEO, analytics, AI, and content-production tools.
• Experience with WordPress and/or familiarity with content management workflows is advantageous.
