Senior Integration Engineer

Location: Belize City,Belize District,Belize
Every customer interaction in our contact center depends on a web of systems talking to each other quickly and correctly: Monumint, uContact, our Loan Management System (LMS), internal services, and third-party APIs. We're hiring a senior engineer to build and run that layer: real-time integrations that move customer and account data reliably at volume, built on an event-driven core.
This is a hands-on build role. You'll ship production code every week, and you'll do it the way modern teams do: directing a fleet of AI development agents, reviewing and verifying their output, and delivering far more than one engineer working alone.
Primary Duties andResponsibilities
• Design and build integrations across Monumint, uContact, the LMS, internal applications, and third-party services using Kafka event streams, REST APIs, and webhooks.
• Build on our event-driven architecture, which sits at the center of everything in this role: producers and consumers, topic and schema design, idempotency, ordering, retries, dead-letter handling, and backpressure.
• Build Node/TypeScript services in NestJS, run as containerized workloads on GCP and backed by Postgres.
• Build MCP servers that give AI agents and AI-powered engagement platforms safe, well-scoped access to our systems and data.
• Turn workflow improvements from Contact Center Automation & Systems into production implementations, such as call routing driven by real-time account status.
• Make integrations observable (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and own their production health, from incident response to root-cause fixes.
• Secure every interface (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, secrets management) and assess vendor APIs for feasibility and fit.
• Keep architecture, API contracts, and data mappings documented and current.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant professional experience.Work Experience
• Significant software engineering experience (typically 6+ years), much of it building and operating integrations.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript.
• Production experience with NestJS or a comparable modern API framework; NestJS strongly preferred.
• GCP and containerized workloads (Docker plus GKE or Cloud Run), with CI/CD.
• Postgres: schema design, query performance, and transactional patterns such as the outbox pattern.
• Experience building MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
• Clear communication with operations and business stakeholders, not just engineers.
Knowledge and Skills
• High-throughput integrations for business-critical applications. A proven record building systems where downtime or lost data has a real cost.
• Deep familiarity with event-driven architecture and Kafka in production. Nearly everything you build here will have EDA at its core.
• AI-native development. You work with coding agents daily, run several in parallel, and know how to scope their tasks and verify what they produce.
