Engine Field Service Technician
Job description
We are looking for an Engine Field Service Technician to join our Distribution business in Thunder Bay.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop and in field
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
- Maintain company provided service truck
- Complete and maintain NSC (National Safety Council) driver qualification
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
- Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
- Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
- Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
- Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software
- Able and willing to be away from home for periods up to a week
- Journeyman / 310 T Certification is required
Compensation and Benefits - Canada
