Project Manager- Manufacturing (Med Device)
Job description
Location: Oakville, Ontario | HybridTravel: Up to 25%
About the Opportunity
Ready to lead projects that have a real impact on how medical devices are made and delivered?
We’re looking for a hands-on Project Manager, Manufacturing & Operations to join our Operations team in Oakville. In this role, you’ll lead strategic projects that improve manufacturing operations, strengthen processes, and help us deliver high-quality medical devices to our customers.
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply manage timelines from behind a spreadsheet. You’ll be working directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and other teams to solve problems, remove roadblocks, and turn ideas into results.
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, influence how we work across teams and sites, and play an important role in continuous improvement within our Operations organization.
What You’ll Get to Do
Lead manufacturing and operations projects from planning through execution, keeping teams aligned on scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
Build and manage project plans, milestones, work assignments, risks, and priorities.
Bring cross-functional teams together to solve problems and achieve project objectives.
Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and keep projects moving when challenges arise.
Partner with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.
Lead meetings across functions and business sites to create alignment and drive decisions.
Improve workflows and develop processes that make our operations more efficient, consistent, and scalable.
Track project performance and provide clear, actionable updates to leadership.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer experience.
Support medical device design documentation in accordance with FDA design controls and good documentation practices.
Help ensure products and processes meet applicable quality and regulatory requirements, including UL, ISO, IEC 60601, and international requirements.
Support medical device safety testing and ongoing product compliance activities.
Develop reporting and visual management tools that make progress, risks, and performance easy to understand.
Create opportunities for team members to contribute their strengths, take ownership, and grow through project work.
What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who likes being close to the work. You can build a project plan, but you’re just as comfortable getting into the details, bringing the right people together, and figuring out how to move a project forward.
You’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, engineering, or project management.
Hands-on experience leading projects in a manufacturing environment.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, risks, and stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Project, and Visio.
Familiarity with production planning, production control systems, or MRP processes.
Ability to communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to different levels of the organization.
Even Better If You Have
Experience working in medical device or another regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience with FDA design controls and quality system requirements.
Familiarity with UL, ISO, or IEC 60601 standards.
Experience working directly with external suppliers or manufacturing partners.
Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
A background in continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to combine project leadership with hands-on manufacturing and operations work in an environment where quality matters. You’ll have visibility across the organization, collaborate with teams in multiple disciplines, and help shape projects that improve both how we operate and how we serve our customers.
The position is hybrid in Oakville, Ontario, with up to 25% travel based on project and business needs.
