About the Role

New Age Services Inc. (NAS) is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Manager of Operations to provide leadership across key corporate support functions, including Information Technology, Finance, Facilities, Corporate Projects, and administrative operations.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Senior Manager translates organizational priorities into coordinated action by leading people, projects, systems, vendors, and operational improvements. Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership and Coordination

Translate strategic and departmental priorities into practical annual and quarterly operational plans.

Coordinate priorities across IT, Facilities, Corporate Projects, and other assigned functions.

Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, timelines, service standards, and accountability measures.

Monitor performance, budgets, timelines, and operational outcomes, addressing barriers and escalating significant concerns when required.

Identify and implement practical improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, accessibility, and service continuity.

People Leadership

Provide leadership, coaching, supervision, and performance accountability to managers, specialists, and staff.

Ensure team members have clear goals, appropriate authority, resources, and regular feedback.

Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, succession planning, and other people-related priorities in collaboration with Human Resources.

Foster a respectful, collaborative, service-focused, and psychologically safe work environment.

Information Technology & Facilities

Provide management oversight and quality assurance for IT infrastructure, systems, user support, technology services, and vendors.

Coordinate approved technology improvements and system implementations while monitoring service levels, risks, and vendor performance.

Oversee facilities operations across offices, group homes, and leased locations, including maintenance priorities, inspections, work orders, contractors, and service continuity.

Collaborate with responsible teams on safety, accessibility, emergency preparedness, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.

Corporate Projects & Change

Lead assigned corporate projects within approved scope, budget, authority, and timelines.

Coordinate project plans, milestones, risks, stakeholders, vendors, communications, training, testing, and implementation.

Identify dependencies, resource pressures, and risks requiring senior leadership attention.

Support successful implementation, adoption, stabilization, and continuous improvement of new systems and processes.

Financial, Risk & Quality Oversight

Prepare and monitor assigned operational and project budgets in collaboration with Finance.

Review expenditures, purchasing requirements, contracts, and resource requests within delegated authority.

Monitor compliance with organizational policies, procedures, documentation standards, and applicable requirements.

Identify and escalate significant operational, financial, safety, privacy, cybersecurity, compliance, continuity, or reputational risks.

Provide concise operational reports, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership.

Strategic Plan Implementation

Support the implementation of NAS strategic priorities through operational plans and projects.

Strengthen cross-functional collaboration, role clarity, consistent processes, and responsible technology modernization.

Promote systems and processes that reduce unnecessary administrative work and support reliable, accessible, and people-centered services.

Use operational information, lessons learned, and results to support evidence-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Pay & Schedule

Compensation for this position starts at $36.75 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work either 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for system changes, urgent facilities matter, project deadlines, or organizational events.

This is a Temporary one-year position at 40 hours a week.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, Project Management, Public Administration, or related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in operations, corporate services, project management, technology, facilities, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience supervising managers, specialists, professional staff, or multi-functional teams.

Experience coordinating cross-functional projects, operational improvements, vendors, budgets, and competing priorities.

Experience in disability services, human services, a publicly funded environment, or another regulated service setting is an asset.

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and business systems; experience with system implementation or process redesign is an asset.

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based and computer-based work, including extended periods of sitting.

Regular handling of confidential, operational, financial, and organizational information.

Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, urgent operational demands, and occasional emergency situations.

Occasional evening or weekend flexibility may be required.

Travel to NAS sites and community locations may be required. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required where driving is part of assigned duties.
