About the role

Understanding cyber risk at internet scale is a difficult product problem. The data must be broad enough to identify meaningful exposures, accurate enough to support important decisions, and timely enough to be useful when it matters. It also needs to be presented in ways that different users can understand and act on.

As Product Manager, Scanning & Risk Data, you will bring a product perspective to this challenge. You will connect the technical systems that collect and process security data with the people and products that use it. You will set priorities, clarify trade-offs, and help Coalition build a more accurate, scalable, and actionable view of cyber risk.

What You'll Own

  • The product strategy for Coalition's scanning and risk-data capabilities.
  • How we discover and understand a company's digital assets, technologies, vulnerabilities, and security posture.
  • The quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usability of the data produced by our scanning systems.
  • The experiences, APIs, and data products that make risk information useful to underwriters, security teams, analysts, and customers.
  • The balance between coverage, precision, speed, reliability, and cost as the platform scales.
  • The roadmap for improving our ability to add new signals, support new use cases, and deliver consistent value across Coalition's products.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a clear product vision for how Coalition collects, interprets, and delivers cyber-risk intelligence.
  • Work with Engineering and Data to improve the coverage, accuracy, performance, and reliability of our scanning capabilities.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Security, and customer-facing teams to understand their needs and translate them into products and capabilities.
  • Decide which problems to solve first and make thoughtful trade-offs between new functionality and improvements to quality, scale, and reliability.
  • Define success metrics and use quantitative and qualitative feedback to guide product decisions.
  • Create simple, reusable ways for teams and customers to access and understand risk data.
  • Lead product discovery, write requirements, shape solutions with design and engineering, and guide initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Help the team apply AI and automation thoughtfully.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including work on technical, data-intensive, platform, infrastructure, security, or developer-facing products.
  • Experience building products that serve multiple users or teams with different needs and priorities and a track record of partnering effectively with Engineering, Data, Design, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to turn complex technical problems into clear strategies and practical roadmaps.
  • Comfort working with data quality, reliability, APIs, analytics, and systems that produce probabilistic or imperfect information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • An analytical mindset and a willingness to engage deeply with both customer problems and technical details.
  • A bias toward action, continuous learning, and measurable outcomes.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with cybersecurity, attack-surface management, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, or security operations.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data collection, distributed systems, data platforms, or developer tools.
  • Daily fluency with AI tools and a point of view on how AI can improve product development and security outcomes.

Compensation

As a remote-first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several Canadian geographic markets.

In Alberta, British Columbia & Ontario the base salary for this position ranges from $170,000/year up to $190,000/year.

For all other locations, the base salary for this position ranges from $150,000/year up to $180,000/year.

Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Your Recruiter can share more on the specific target salary range for your location during the interview process. Coalition, Inc. reserves the right to modify this range as needed.
