Job description

You will lead the architecture and implementation of control-plane APIs, services, state models, and administrative workflows. You will build reliable distributed systems, integrate platform components, establish engineering practices, review designs, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve control-plane architecture, domain models, and interfaces
  • Build backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and state-management systems
  • Deliver administrative workflows for configuration, upgrades, policies, tenancy, and system health
  • Build administrative web interfaces when needed
  • Own integration adapters between the control plane and platform components
  • Design for reliability, idempotency, auditability, access control, and failure recovery
  • Establish testing, observability, documentation, and release practices
  • Evaluate and integrate open-source software
  • Lead technical designs, set engineering standards, review work, and mentor engineers

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial backend responsibility
  • Experience designing and delivering a control plane, developer platform, administrative system, or comparable distributed product
  • Experience with API design, domain modeling, persistent state, asynchronous workflows, and service integration
  • Experience designing reliable distributed workflows
  • Software development ability in Go, Python, TypeScript, or another relevant language
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, policy, tenancy, auditability, and secure administrative operations
  • Experience with automated testing, observability, release practices, and production support
  • French and English written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant technical university degree or equivalent professional experience
