You will take ownership of IoT projects from initial configuration through commissioning and completion.

The role requires close collaboration with customers, project managers, security contractors, and cross-functional technical teams.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills are essential for resolving complex technical issues and keeping projects on track.

This is a mid-level, full-time opportunity offering meaningful technical responsibility within a remote-first environment.

  • Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project updates and documentation within project management software.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned IoT projects, from initial integration and configuration through commissioning and completion.
  • Ensure installations and technical work are completed cleanly, professionally, and according to project requirements.
  • Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years of experience working with access control, intercom systems, CCTV/IP systems, intrusion systems, IoT, or related security technologies.
    • Strong expertise with access control platforms such as Salto, ICT, or Kantech; certified installer experience is an advantage.
    • Hands-on experience with CCTV platforms including Hanwha, Digital Watchdog, Axis, Uniview, or Avigilon.
    • Experience installing and commissioning digital intercom systems and working with intrusion platforms such as DSC, Paradox, or Honeywell.
    • Solid knowledge of IP networking, including DMZ, VLAN, VPN, RDM, IPsec, SSL, VoIP, and PoE technologies.
    • Ability to configure Wi-Fi networks; experience with UniFi is preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and as-built documentation.
    • Strong background in structured cabling and low-voltage installations.
    • Previous experience using project management software and working with mobile applications and web portals.
    • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Strong troubleshooting, time management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team and managing multiple priorities.
    • Professional phone manner and a strong commitment to clean, high-quality workmanship.
    • Benefits

      • Annual compensation of $75,000–$85,000.
      • Full-time employment with a mid-level scope of responsibility.
      • Remote position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
      • Combination of remote technical support and occasional onsite client work.
      • Opportunity to work across smart building automation, IoT, security, networking, and connected technology projects.
