Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Program Manager – Cybersecurity & Trust based in Canada.

Role Overview

Join a dynamic technology environment where cybersecurity, trust, and strategic integration are essential to business success. In this role, you will lead cybersecurity and Trust integration initiatives associated with mergers and acquisitions, helping newly acquired products and teams align with established security programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Security, Privacy, Risk, Engineering, and Product to translate technical findings into actionable plans. By coordinating remediation activities, managing risks, and driving accountability, you will help ensure that security requirements are addressed efficiently. This opportunity combines technical program management with practical cybersecurity expertise in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve. Work remotely across Canada while contributing to complex technology integration initiatives with measurable business impact.

Accountabilities

  • Lead Trust integration programs across multiple acquisitions, overseeing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Security, Privacy, Risk, Engineering, Product, and acquired-company teams to ensure effective integration.
  • Support cybersecurity and Trust assessments by gathering technical information, documenting findings, identifying gaps, and coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Translate security findings and technical requirements into clear priorities, remediation plans, assigned responsibilities, and achievable timelines.
  • Track security risks, vulnerabilities, remediation commitments, and integration activities through completion, ensuring progress remains visible and accountable.
  • Facilitate technical working sessions, status meetings, and decision-making discussions involving technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify blockers, risks, and dependencies early, driving resolution or escalating issues to the appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate program documentation and deliver concise, actionable status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Guide acquired teams through applicable cybersecurity and Trust requirements, supporting alignment with established policies and processes.
  • Evaluate challenges and recommend improvements to integration workflows, documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive progress across teams without direct reporting authority by establishing accountability, monitoring commitments, and maintaining consistent follow-through.
  • Requirements

    • At least 4 years of experience in project management, program management, cybersecurity, technology risk, or a combination of these disciplines.
    • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional technical projects involving engineering, security, or technology teams.
    • Working knowledge of cybersecurity and technology risk concepts, including vulnerability management, application security, cloud security, and security risk assessments.
    • Ability to interpret technical security findings and translate them into actionable project plans, remediation activities, risks, and decisions.
    • Experience managing project plans, milestones, issues, dependencies, risks, decisions, and deliverables.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands in an evolving environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, establish accountability, and drive results across teams without direct authority.
    • Comfort working in ambiguous environments with changing priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.
    • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, technology integrations, or similar cross-functional programs is a strong asset.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity assessments, technology risk reviews, vulnerability management, and security remediation processes is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of application security, cloud or SaaS security, Security Operations (SecOps), or DevSecOps practices is beneficial.
    • Experience working with cloud-based products, SaaS platforms, and engineering teams is preferred.
    • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Airtable, or similar project management and collaboration tools is an asset.
    • Relevant cybersecurity, risk management, or project management certifications are considered a plus.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive hourly compensation: CAD $50–$55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
      • Remote flexibility: 100% remote work from Canada.
      • Contract opportunity: T4 employment contract offering the opportunity to contribute to strategic cybersecurity and technology integration initiatives.
      • Cross-functional exposure: Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Risk, Engineering, and Product teams on complex, high-impact programs.
      • Professional development: Gain practical experience in cybersecurity, technology risk management, and mergers and acquisitions integration.
      • Meaningful impact: Help strengthen security practices and Trust alignment as organizations integrate new products and teams.
      • Inclusive workplace: Work in an environment committed to equal opportunity, diversity, and respectful collaboration.
