Stellenbeschreibung

At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. Here, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world. As a global market leader, we’ll give you what you need to make it happen. It won’t always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you’ll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you’ll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics—working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

This Position reports to:

Head of Treasury

Our Group Treasury is being built from the ground up as a global team and partnering with businesses around 45 countries. We are not copying the past. We are designing a treasury that runs on clean data, automation and AI, and we want people who get excited about that.

As our Group Treasury Intern, you will join the team for 6 to 12 months and work mainly on data and automation topics, reporting to the Head of Treasury Middle and Controls, involved in projects across all the treasury areas, from cash and liquidity to FX, funding and trade finance, so you will see how a global treasury really works and have real opportunities to shape it.

The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-hybrid

The location of the role is: Zurich, Switzerland

Your

responsibilities

  • Cash Management: supporting cash visibility and forecasting, building liquidity dashboards and helping automate daily cash and payment routines.
  • Risk Management: helping analyse FX and interest rate exposures, preparing hedging and market reports, and supporting our financial risk policies.
  • Trade Finance: supporting the tracking and reporting of bank guarantees and other instruments, and bringing ideas to digitalise trade finance processes.
  • Treasury Middle Office: contributing to treasury reporting, controls and covenant monitoring, improving data quality and documenting how our processes run.

What you can look forward to:

  • Real work with real impact. Your ideas and your output will be used by the team from the first weeks.
  • Hands-on exposure to a modern treasury technology, data platforms and AI tools, and the freedom to test new ways of working.
  • A front-row seat in a global treasury being built from scratch, working with colleagues across countries, business lines and banks.
  • A wide variety of topics: turning data into insight, automating what should not be manual, and supporting the team wherever fresh thinking is needed.
  • Coaching from experienced treasury professionals who will give you responsibility early and support you in growing it.

Who you are:

  • Energetic and curious. You ask why, you want to understand how things work, and you are not afraid to try something new.
  • Tech and data driven. You enjoy working with data and are keen to explore what AI and automation can do in finance, whether through your studies, personal projects or pure interest.
  • A doer with high energy. You take ownership, move things forward and are comfortable learning on the job in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who enjoys working in an international setting and communicates clearly and openly.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Recent graduate, or graduating in 2027, with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong data analytics skills. Python, SQL or Power BI are an advantage but not a must.
  • No previous work experience required.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Role is based in Zurich and candidate should be eligible to work in Switzerland.
