Key responsibilities
In this role, you will develop individual automation and drive solutions for our customers. You will be responsible for planning and site activities as well as the technical execution of the different project phases, making sure they meet expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements.
This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries Division in Mannheim. Main stakeholders are Main stakeholders are Sales, Technology, Risk & Contract Management, customers, partners, suppliers and service providers, as well as colleagues at international level.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Technical lead and coordination of projects for the planning and implementation of individual system solutions in drive and automation technology, including electrification, instrumentation, analyzer technology and optimizations
- Engineering across all project phases, including installation and commissioning, and, where required, service in case of faults or change requests
- Close collaboration with other departments such as Sales and Technology
- Supporting Sales and Risk / Contract Management with your technical expertise in detailed planning, in contact with customers, partners and service providers
- Regular contact with customers and suppliers

Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed degree in engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or automation technology, or comparable vocational training
- Several years of experience in the design and commissioning of electrical systems and drive systems in low voltage and/or experience in control technology
- First experience in the technical leadership of projects, ideally in drive and automation technology, including coordination of internal teams, customers, suppliers and service providers across the different project phases
- Experience in software and hardware design; basic engineering with CAD tools such as EPLAN or AutoCAD is desirable
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, as well as planning and organizational talent
- High self-motivation, hands-on mentality, and a solution- and quality-oriented, structured way of working
- Ability to communicate successfully at all levels
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (20–30%)
