Business Analyst - Service Transition & Go-Live
Rate: £400 per day, inside IR35
Location: Sheffield OR London
Working arrangement: Hybrid, with mandatory attendance of 3 days per week at either the Sheffield or London office
Contract opportunity
We are recruiting a Business Analyst to support the transition of technology and cyber security services from project delivery into live operation.
You will act as the bridge between project teams, solution architects, suppliers and BAU support functions, ensuring services are ready for go-live. This includes confirming that documentation, support processes, ownership and knowledge transfer are complete and signed off.
The projects include IAM, PAM and identity platforms, making this an opportunity for someone with experience in technology or cyber security service transition.
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain go-live checklists, cutover documentation and Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs).
- Create and maintain runbooks, support models and RACI matrices to enable effective service handover.
- Facilitate workshops to capture transition requirements and agree support responsibilities, acceptance criteria and BAU processes.
- Track go-live risks, known issues and support gaps, ensuring mitigation actions have clear owners and deadlines.
- Confirm Incident, Change and Problem Management processes are agreed and understood before launch.
- Coordinate training materials, end-user guidance, go-live communications and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain requirements traceability, document version control and evidence of sign-off for governance reviews.
- Coordinate readiness activities across multiple concurrent releases and stakeholders.
- Proven Business Analysis experience within technology or cyber security projects, with a focus on go-live readiness and service transition.
- Experience working between project delivery teams and operational support functions.
- Demonstrable experience producing runbooks, support models, RACI matrices, ORRs and go-live checklists.
- Working knowledge of ITIL, particularly Incident, Change and Problem Management.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills across technical teams, suppliers and business users.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and requirements.
- Experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Visio and Microsoft Office.
Location and attendance
This role can be based in either Sheffield or London, with 3 days per week in the office at your selected location.
