Job description

Reporting in to the Head of IT, the successful Data Engineer will work on building and maintaining data pipelines to support analytics and decision-making processes. This role is all about ensuring data flows smoothly and efficiently, helping the business make informed choices.

Client Details

Founded in 2002 we are a Manchester-based pet food company that develops and markets premium natural cat and dog food, with a particularly strong position in the premium cat food market. Our mission is to "enrich the lives of pets and their owners through visibly better pet food."

We are currently looking to grow our Data Engineering & Analytics team

Description

The successful Data Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Design, build and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines.
  • Develop and optimise data systems to ensure seamless integration and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues to maintain system performance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights from data.

Profile

The successful Data Engineer should have:

  • Strong technical skills in data engineering tools and technologies.
  • Experience in designing and managing data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of database systems and data modelling techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with analytics and IT teams.
  • Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting

Job Offer

Based in Wythenshawe / Manchester, this is a hybrid role, 3 days working from home 2 days on site. we are easily commutable by car / public transport. We have free onsite parking

  • Salary between £40,000 and £45,000, dependent on the level of experience.
