Job description

An established Electronic Engineering function is continuing to

grow, creating an opportunity for an experienced FPGA Engineering

Manager to lead a team delivering advanced FPGA-based solutions.

The role combines technical ownership with people leadership,

offering the opportunity to shape engineering capability while

overseeing the delivery of complex products from concept through

to production.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of FPGA and digital

design engineers while driving technical excellence and

performance

  • Providing technical direction across FPGA architecture, RTL

design, simulation, synthesis, timing closure and hardware

validation

  • Working closely with Systems, Software, Hardware and

Verification teams to define requirements and deliver integrated

solutions

  • Owning FPGA project execution, including planning, estimation,

scheduling, risk management and delivery

  • Developing design standards, verification methodologies and IP

reuse strategies while supporting the continued development of

FPGA engineering capability

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of FPGA or digital hardware design experience,

including 3-5 years in a technical leadership or management

position

  • A proven track record delivering complex FPGA systems from

concept through to production

  • Strong experience with RTL design, simulation, synthesis and

timing analysis, including VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog

  • Strong knowledge of high-speed interfaces, DSP, control logic,

image processing and hardware-software co-design

  • Excellent technical leadership, communication and stakeholder

management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional

engineering teams
