Job description

With the continued growth of the Land Ceptor programme,

opportunities are available for Systems Engineers to join the

Functional Development team. The roles offer exposure across

requirements engineering, certification and programme delivery,

providing the opportunity to work on complex defence systems

while developing experience across different areas of systems

engineering.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Working with customer requirements to derive system, subsystem

and software requirements, supporting systems studies and system

design

  • Capturing and reviewing technical evidence, conducting

investigations and supporting certification activities

  • Supporting programme delivery activities, including stakeholder

engagement, bids and delivery for international programmes

  • Managing engineering change and supporting requirements and

configuration activities throughout the development lifecycle

  • Leading or contributing to trade studies, system development

activities and the communication of technical architectures and

ideas

The ideal candidate will have:

  • General systems engineering experience, ideally within a

defence environment

  • Experience in requirements management and derivation, with

knowledge of tools such as DOORS, DOORS NG or Rhapsody

  • Experience developing complex systems and undertaking system

development or trade study activities

  • Experience with engineering change control and management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with

the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers

and colleagues at different levels
