ICT Systems Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - 45,000 per year

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure
• Solid Windows Server and Active Directory experience
• Experience managing devices with Intune
• Experience running hybrid on-premise and cloud infrastructure
• Experience acting as a technical lead for ICT systems
• Experience planning and maintaining disaster recovery
• Desirable: infrastructure ownership, system design and solution design
• Desirable: project delivery and technology roadmap planning

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our ICT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments
• Act as technical lead for ICT, setting direction and making key technical decisions
• Manage and develop Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Intune, Windows Server and Active Directory
• Design systems and solutions to meet business requirements
• Deliver ICT projects from planning through to implementation
• Shape the technology roadmap and drive service improvements
• Manage identity and access, and support Cyber Essentials compliance
• Own disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements
• Manage relationships with IT vendors and suppliers

We are a long-established engineering and environmental services business with a strong track record in the nuclear sector. Founded in the 1980s, we employ around 200 people across three business areas and work at sites across the UK from our head office in Chorley. The role offers a salary of £38,000–£45,000, a nine-day fortnight with every second Friday off, home working and a 12:30 p.m. finish on working Fridays, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and a pension with a 5% employer contribution and 4% employee contribution. The role is office-based Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m.; working Fridays are from home, 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
