Salary: £36,000 - 36,000 per year

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years experience as a 1st or 2nd Line IT Support Engineer
  • Education sector experience preferred
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, SharePoint and MS Teams
  • Experience with MDM tools such as Intune or similar
  • Google Workspace experience desirable
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
  • Basic networking troubleshooting knowledge, including wireless access points, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN and VPN
  • Experience supporting Windows end-user devices, laptops, desktops, iPads and tablets
  • Ability to install, configure and deploy hardware and software
  • Experience supporting media and audiovisual equipment, such as smart boards, projectors and interactive displays
  • Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, web filters and security policies
  • VOIP communications or telephony support experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd Line IT support to up to 800 members of staff across two schools
  • Support end-user devices, hardware, software and media/audiovisual equipment
  • Handle basic networking troubleshooting
  • Work alongside our hands-on IT Manager; 3rd Line networking tickets are managed by an external MSP

We are recruiting a permanent IT Support Engineer for a role shared between two schools: four onsite days per week in Clapham and one in Belgravia, London. During term time, the role is onsite Monday to Friday, generally 8:00am–5:00pm with some flexibility on start time. During school holidays, hours are reduced to 8:30am–4:00pm, with flexibility to work from home. The salary is £36,000 plus benefits, including 25 days holiday plus eight bank holidays, free lunches, free car parking, a pension, training and career progression opportunities, and a yearly salary review.
