Salary: £28,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements

  • Experience in an IT support role
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common business applications
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 users and services
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts, including DHCP, DNS and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise support tickets
  • Clear communication skills and confidence speaking with non-technical users
  • A methodical and professional approach to resolving issues
  • Beneficial: MSP experience
  • Beneficial: In-depth Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Beneficial: Experience with helpdesk tools such as Halo or Freshdesk
  • Beneficial: Experience with RMM tools such as NinjaOne
  • Own vehicle and a full UK driving licence; mileage is paid

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of support tickets from investigation through to resolution, escalating or collaborating with colleagues where needed
  • Communicate directly with clients and keep them informed of progress
  • Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365 and common business applications
  • Support Microsoft 365 environments, including user administration and device management
  • Carry out basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS and connectivity issues
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for client staff
  • Assist Senior Engineers with project delivery and system improvements
  • Undertake occasional out-of-hours project work or emergency call-outs, with time off in lieu
  • Help test and implement new technologies or services where appropriate
  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Work directly with users to troubleshoot problems and help keep client systems running smoothly
  • Help deliver client projects, which may include Microsoft Intune deployments, security improvements such as MFA and Conditional Access, device lifecycle management, onboarding and offboarding processes, and office and SME network upgrades
  • Visit client sites across the region when required and represent our company professionally

Since 2010, we have been a trusted partner to small and medium businesses across London, Hertfordshire and Essex. We are a small technical team, and our engineers work closely with clients to deliver practical solutions and responsive support. This role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies and opportunities to develop skills in Microsoft 365, cloud platforms and endpoint management. It is based at our Shenley office, with occasional client visits in Hertfordshire, London and Essex, and the option to work from home up to two days per week after the probation period. Working hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is £28,000–£35,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include 20 days holiday, increasing with length of service, plus public holidays, a pension, health insurance and gym membership options.
