Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements

  • Passion for software development and cloud development, with an interest in exploring Agile methodologies and ways of working
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and a desire to fix things
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Motivation by technical challenges and enthusiasm for learning
  • Either a degree in any subject, or recent work experience or recent upskilling in technology
  • Permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK, in line with our residency and nationality requirements
  • Ability to obtain Government SC clearance before starting and DV clearance shortly before or after joining

Responsibilities

  • Work on customer-facing projects to deploy and maintain customers software platforms
  • Write code that contributes to mission-critical systems
  • Use programming languages and technologies suited to each project, with opportunities to specialise or learn additional technologies
  • Develop proficiency in AWS Cloud through training provided by BAE
  • Use monitoring, data, and reporting to assess system performance, identify problems, and improve the reliability of critical services
  • Investigate incidents and technical issues using data and evidence to understand what happened and help prevent recurrence

We are Corecom Tech Academy (CTA), an inclusive and diverse technology academy offering a route into IT without requiring previous experience or a specific degree. Our client, BAE Digital Intelligence, is expanding its Site Reliability capability in Manchester following continued growth in the UK National Security sector. The role begins with full-time, fast-paced introductory training delivered in a hybrid classroom and remote format, followed by project work with BAE.
