Multilingual Localization QA Engineer
- Languages: Hebrew, Norwegian, Polish, Danish, Italian, Finnish, French, Dutch, German, French Canadian or Australian English
- Location: Cork, Ireland – 100% onsite
- Contract: 6 months, with potential for extension
- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: €42,000 per annum pro rata + benefits
- Working Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
The Opportunity
Our client is a world-leading technology company based in Cork, Ireland, and is looking for talented multilingual professionals to join its international Localization QA team. As a Multilingual Localization QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that software and hardware products deliver a high-quality, natural and consistent experience for users across global markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, software testing and internationalization, collaborating with engineers, linguists, QA specialists and project managers across international teams.
The Role
You will be responsible for testing localized software and hardware experiences in your native language, identifying issues and working with international engineering and QA teams to ensure problems are investigated and resolved.
You will gain exposure to both manual and automated testing, internationalization, localization and the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed manual localization testing of software and hardware interfaces in your native language.
- Test localized user experiences for linguistic accuracy, functionality, usability and overall quality.
- Identify, document and report software and localization defects using internal QA and bug-tracking tools.
- Track reported issues through to resolution and validate fixes.
- Design, create and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Contribute to both manual and automated testing activities.
- Investigate international functionality and localization issues and help identify root causes.
- Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, linguists, translators and project managers to resolve issues.
- Participate in cross-functional testing activities across international software QA centres.
- Analyse recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve localization quality and testing processes.
- Help ensure products deliver a consistent, high-quality user experience across international markets.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA and localization processes.
Candidate profile
- Fluency in one of the following languages: Hebrew, Norwegian, Polish, Danish, Italian, Finnish, French, Dutch, German, French Canadian or Australian English.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- An understanding of software localization and internationalization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to identify, investigate and clearly document technical issues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
- The ability to work effectively as part of an international, cross-functional team.
- Experience in the following would be advantageous: Software QA or quality assurance, Localization or internationalization testing
- Manual software testing, Bug tracking and defect management, Test case design and execution, Software development environments,
- Hardware or device testing
- Previous localization or QA experience is preferred but not essential for candidates with the right technical, analytical and language skills.
Contract & Salary
€42,000 per annum pro rata
- 6-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension
- ASAP start
- Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- 100% onsite in Cork
