Network Engineer (IOS-XR & NSO)

Core Network Engineer (IOS-XR & NSO) | £465p/day (Inside IR35) | 2 days on site (London) | 6 months initially

Our client is looking for a Core Network Engineer to join their EMEA network engineering team. You'll be a go to technical expert on a large, live core network, helping drive upgrades, migrations and automation across the estate.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and supporting large-scale WAN, MAN and optical networks, and leading migrations and hardware refreshes on Cisco 8000, ASR 9000 and NCS 5500/5700 platforms
• Hands-on engineering and troubleshooting on Cisco IOS-XR in a busy production environment, including upgrades, platform moves and root cause analysis
• Developing and maintaining automation in Cisco NSO (service models, YANG, Python, NETCONF/REST) for provisioning, compliance checks and software upgrades

What you'll need

• Experience in large enterprise or service provider networks
• Strong, current, hands-on Cisco IOS-XR experience
• Strong Cisco NSO experience (service modelling, YANG, Python, NETCONF/REST, Git)
• Expert knowledge of MPLS, SR-MPLS, ISIS, BGP, OSPF, EVPN, L2VPN/L3VPN, multicast and QoS

Must have experience in NSO & IOS-XR
