Job Title: Procurement Engineer - Powertrain Systems (1 Year FTC)

What You’ll Do

As Procurement Engineer – Global Powertrain Systems, you’ll take ownership of a defined group of commodities and develop sourcing strategies that support our business and technical objectives. You’ll work closely with engineering and suppliers to deliver cost reductions, support new product development, run sourcing and tender activities, negotiate commercial agreements and manage supplier performance, risk and relationships.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with strong technical understanding and practical procurement or commodity-management experience, ideally gained within transport, vehicles or heavy machinery. You’ll be confident in sourcing, commercial negotiation and supplier management, with excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills. You should be organised, commercially aware and comfortable working across teams to deliver agreed targets; more than three years’ relevant experience is preferred.

Bonus if you have:

An engineering degree at BSc level or above, a CIPS or other relevant purchasing, supply or business qualification, and knowledge or experience of CAD systems.
