What You’ll Do

As part of our in-store team, you’ll work on the sales floor, in the stockroom, or across both areas, playing an important role in keeping the store running smoothly during our busy Autumn/Winter season. Every shift makes a difference in this high-energy retail environment, helping us deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.

On the sales floor, you’ll:

  • Deliver fast, friendly service and help customers find what they need
  • Keep the sales floor well stocked, organised, and easy to shop
  • Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy, and visually appealing

In the stockroom, you’ll:

  • Efficiently process deliveries and replenish the sales floor to ensure it remains fully stocked and presentable
  • Pick, pack, and transfer stock to meet customer timescales and ensure accurate parcel processing
  • Keep the back of house clean, safe and organised

Where needed, you may support both areas.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will be:

  • Friendly and approachable, always happy to help
  • A team player who stays calm in busy moments
  • Reliable, organised, and ready to get involved
  • Keen to learn and take pride in doing a great job
  • Respectful, committed and eager to play your part

If you’re looking for an engaging, hands-on role this season, we’d love to hear from you.

Why join us?

Alongside the great benefits listed below, you’ll also enjoy:

  • Flexible, short-term contracts
  • A welcoming and inclusive team environment
  • First pick of Sale stock (if working during the events)

We encourage you to apply early, as candidates are reviewed on an ongoing basis and the advert may close once sufficient applications have been received.

Right to Work & Sponsorship

Successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work before commencement of employment.

This role is not one we would typically consider for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route due to, for example, the relevant Home Office requirements on skills level, not being met. Candidates are therefore encouraged to consider their own right to work options without NEXT sponsorship.

Established in 1864, Next has grown to operate over 700 stores, with about 500 located in the United Kingdom and the remainder distributed across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The company's origins date back to 1864 when it was founded by Joseph Hepworth as a tailoring business in Leeds. Over the years, through strategic acquisitions and expansions, notably through the launch of its first store in 1982 under the new brand Next, the company has undergone significant transformations to enhance its offerings in menswear, womenswear, and children's fashion. Not only does Next operate retail outlets, but it also has a substantial online shopping presence with more than three million active customers utilizing its Next Directory catalog.
