Salary- £32,000.00

Main Duties and

Responsibilities

As a Static Fabric GMO Maintenance Engineer at JLL, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality facilities management services to our client's site, ensuring the building's structural and fabric elements are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and presentation. You will work as part of an integrated facilities management (IFM) team, collaborating with M&E engineers, supervisors, and the wider JLL account team to deliver a seamless service to the client.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across all static fabric elements, including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, glazing, locks, ironmongery, and signage. Routine inspections form a core part of the role, with defects, hazards, or deterioration logged and actioned through JLL's CAFM system in line with agreed response and completion times.

Sounds like you? To apply, you need to be:

A qualified tradesperson with an NVQ or equivalent qualification in carpentry, general building maintenance, or a related construction discipline, you bring practical experience from commercial, industrial, or FM environments. You have a sound understanding of building fabric systems and relevant health and safety legislation, including working at height, manual handling, and asbestos awareness, and you're comfortable working to strict SLA and KPI targets.

You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and are confident logging work orders, closing tickets, and maintaining accurate records within a CAFM system. You take pride in your attention to detail and enjoy problem-solving, whether that's diagnosing a fabric defect or liaising with specialist contractors on larger repair works.

What this opportunity involves

Working within JLL's client service delivery framework, you will support compliance audits, help maintain statutory and client-specific documentation, and contribute to a safe, well-presented working environment. You may also support minor works, space reconfigurations, and fit-out activities, working closely with the Facilities Manager or Engineering Manager on site.
