Job description

We are looking for a kind, energetic and person-centred Support Worker to support three individuals with learning disabilities within a Supported Living service in Covingham, East Swindon. The role involves supporting people with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, medication administration and accessing the community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing.

Support individuals with personal care in a respectful and compassionate way.

Administer medication safely in line with training, policies and procedures.

Support individuals to take part in community activities, appointments and social opportunities.

Communicate clearly with individuals, families, colleagues and professionals.

Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and supportive living environment.

Work flexibly as part of a skilled team in a warm and friendly service.

Hours and Shift Pattern

The role is full time, working 37.5 hours per week across 3 days out of 7. Weekend working is essential. Typical shift times are 07:00-22:00, 08:00-20:00 although these may change depending on the needs of the service. Flexibility from candidates is required to meet the needs of the service.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a supported living setting with adults with learning disabilities is preferred though not essential.

A driver is essential

The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to learn.

Training and Development
