Preston and South Ribble District Day Service

We are recruiting a Permanent Team Manager for Preston Day Service.

The role will involve working as part of the dedicated and skilled management team providing opportunities and support for adults with learning disabilities to live the lives they want.

The role will involve motivating, leading and working directly alongside the staff teams to ensure effective support to the people who use the service, their families, carers and other professionals.

The successful applicant will possess strong positive values and principles in their approach to working with people with a learning disability and will have passion and enthusiasm for making a difference and developing the service.

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
