Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Automation Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong hands-on skills in Playwright and TypeScript
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
  • A collaborative, proactive approach that fits our clients people-focused culture
  • Insurance sector experience is an advantage but is not essential

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and improve automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript
  • Build robust, scalable and maintainable automation frameworks
  • Work with developers, business analysts and product owners to build quality in from the start
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Communicate progress, risks and recommendations clearly to client stakeholders
  • Mentor and support team members on automation best practices

Were working with a client in Liverpool to recruit two Senior Automation Engineers for a contract starting 12 October 2026. Youll join a collaborative delivery team and have influence over the quality and test automation approach. The role combines hands-on automation work with client-facing collaboration and stakeholder communication. The initial three-month contract may extend by a further six months, for up to nine months in total. The rate is £325–£350 per day on a Statement of Work basis. This is a hybrid role, with onsite work in Liverpool Tuesday to Thursday and Mondays and Fridays at home. An immediate start is available.
