Job description

At HelloFresh, every person who walks through our doors on day one deserves a strong and well structured start. As Training Supervisor, you will be the first face new starters see, the person who makes sure everyone is safe, skilled, and confident during their HelloFresh journey.

The Training Supervisor role is fast-paced, visible, and varied. No two weeks look the same when you're supporting a high-growth food production site.

You'll lead and performance manage our Training Ambassadors, acting as their coach and point of escalation. Reporting into the Learning Business Partner, you'll play a key role in shaping how training is delivered across the site.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Host the training team shift handover brief at the start and end of each shift.
  • Own the new starter experience end-to-end: delivering classroom inductions, site tours, and hands-on safety training so every joiner feels welcomed and work-ready from day one.
  • Deliver ongoing Health & Safety and Food Safety refresher training in line with business policy and current legislation.
  • Oversee the physical sign off process for safe systems of work and standard operating procedures, maintaining accurate training records in the training matrix.
  • Run classroom and on-the-job sessions for a range of skills across Production and Warehouse.
  • Use training data and compliance reporting to plan shift cover, identify gaps, and provide KPI updates to Training Management.
  • Lead, coach, and performance manage the Training Ambassador team, including regular 1:1s, development conversations, and holding high standards.
  • A single point of reference for the operational management team for essential business needs.
  • Champion Health & Safety in everything you do: lead by example, challenge unsafe behaviours, and motivate others to do the same.
  • Ensure tech is fully accounted for and in excellent condition.
  • Support training improvement projects and contribute to the continuous development of how we train at HelloFresh.

Who You Are

  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a training role, ideally within an operational, warehouse, or food production environment.
  • You're a natural communicator, delivering a safety induction to 40+ new starters or having a one-to-one performance conversation with a Training Ambassador.
  • You take Health & Safety seriously. You don't walk past it. You call it out, correct it, and help others understand why it matters.
  • You're organised and data-driven. You can read a training matrix, spot a compliance gap, and take action without being asked.
  • You have experience managing or supervising others, and you know how to get the best out of a team.
  • You're adaptable and embrace change. When processes change or priorities shift, you recalibrate quickly and bring your team with you.
  • English fluency is essential; additional languages are a real asset given the diversity of our site teams.

What you will get in return:

● 70% off HelloFresh or Green Chef boxes

● Company pension scheme

● Gym membership

● Bupa private medical insurance (including dental & family cover options)

● Mental health first aiders and an employee assistance programme

● Nursery support scheme

● Cycle to work scheme

● Group Life Assurance

Location: The Windmill, 1, Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have the independent right to work in the UK, as we're unfortunately unable to provide sponsorship at this time.

Hours: Sunday - Wednesday, 7am to 7pm, 42 hours a week

Next steps: Your application will be reviewed and if successful, a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch within 2 weeks.

You are required to cooperate with HelloFresh in all health and safety matters. You are responsible for ensuring you take reasonable care of your own health, and safety as well as others who may be affected by the work activities you undertake. You must report incidents immediately and actively raise health and safety-related concerns to your Line Manager. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment, we will process Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks to the successful individual. Failure to disclose relevant information at application or throughout the process could affect your employment with the company.

If you are currently a HelloFresh employee, please make sure you have discussed your application with your Line Manager.
