Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: 24 hours per week
Shifts: 2x Waking Night Shifts per week (Thursday
night + 1 other)
8pm – 8am

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging Personal
Assistant (PA) or Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join a dedicated team
supporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley.
This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy to
get involved. If you enjoy board games, electronic games, storytelling and
building genuine connections, this could be a brilliant match.
Meet Our Client
You will be supporting a young man who enjoys regular interaction,
games and engaging activities. They are looking for a proactive, friendly and
energetic Support Worker with a playful and bubbly personality who can provide
companionship and keep them engaged through activities such as board games,
electronic games and reading. The individual has Worster-Drought Syndrome,
hypothyroidism, complex epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a Vagus Nerve
Stimulator (VNS), scoliosis, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD and
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). The ideal candidate will be patient,
adaptable and confident in supporting someone with complex health and
behavioural needs while promoting a fun, positive and engaging environment.

About You
- Eligibility
- to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Home Care

- Knowledge
- of Epilepsy is essential
- Experience
- and Knowledge of Behaviours with Restraint/Breakaway – Essential
- Knowledge
- of dissociative seizures – Desirable
- Previous
- Care experience is desirable
- Willing
- to be Playful and learn/play with the client
- Friendly,
- patient, and well organised
- Full
- clean UK driving licence (25+ for insurance purposes) – Desirable
- Clear
- and confident in spoken English, with the ability to communicate
- effectively with the person being supported and the wider team
- Willing
- to pick up shifts on the day duties should this be required.
