Lead Firefighter (Basic Life Support/Hazmat Technician)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Support the fire-prevention program to reduce or eliminate fire dangers for local employees working within the Command.

Respond on site to accidents and other emergencies involving injuries and illnesses.

Respond to incidents involving hazardous materials.

Serve as the Lead Firefighter directing the operation of one major piece of firefighting apparatus and an ambulance crew.

Respond to local airfield for crash rescue emergencies.
