Business Applications Implementation Engineer

This role combines an understanding of business needs with hands-on technical work to improve how employees and managers use the organization’s information systems. You will guide projects from the first conversation with the customer and understanding their needs, through writing specifications and defining the solution, to implementation, testing, training, and go-live. The work includes managing customer projects, collaborating with internal teams, and working with vendors to define clear requirements, agree on expectations, and ensure the results meet business needs.

Alongside planning and project management, this is a hands-on role that includes configuring workflows and permissions, writing SQL queries, building reports and dashboards, troubleshooting issues, and developing solutions using AI tools. We are looking for someone curious and independent, who can communicate clearly with users and vendors and also work through technical details. Familiarity with asset management systems such as Hexagon or experience implementing ERP systems, experience with iPaaS integration platforms, and a software development background are all strong advantages.

What will your Job look like?

• Manage requirements and asset management systems, including workflows, user accounts, permissions, custom fields, dashboards, reports, and project setup.
• Gather and analyze business needs, define processes with stakeholders, and write clear functional and technical specifications.
• Manage projects from planning to delivery with customers and business teams. Define the scope, build schedules, track progress, and provide status updates.
• Work with vendors, explain business and technical requirements clearly, agree on expectations, and check that delivered solutions meet the requirements.
• Configure and improve systems, compare possible solutions, and roll out changes and fixes.
• Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data, investigate issues, and support reports and business processes.
• Use AI development tools to build and improve solutions, and review, test, debug, and maintain the code they generate.
• Train and support users, maintain training materials, and manage the support ticket queue.
• Build dashboards and real-time reports that help users and managers make informed decisions.

All you need is:

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience administering applications and designing, configuring, and implementing information systems.
• Strong SQL query writing skills and a good understanding of relational databases.
• Ability to develop solutions using AI tools and check the quality and correctness of the results.
• Ability to write clear specification documents and manage customer projects from start to finish.
• Experience working with vendors, defining clear requirements, explaining business needs, and checking that proposed solutions meet those needs.
• Strong written and spoken Hebrew and English, with the ability to explain technical topics to different audiences and deliver structured training.
• Strong learning and problem-solving skills, ownership, and self-motivation. Ability to work independently and in a team and manage priorities in a changing environment.
• Familiarity with asset management systems such as Hexagon, or experience implementing ERP systems - an advantages.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms used to connect systems and automate data flows - an advantages.
• A software development background and practical coding experience - an advantages.
