Assistant Manager- Production

Varun Beverages Ltd. is seeking a technically competent Assistant Manager – Production for its Pathankot, Punjab facility. The role involves planning, supervising, and optimizing manufacturing activities to meet production targets while upholding GMP, GHP, SOPs, and safety standards. The incumbent will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and develop the production workforce.

• Plan, supervise, and monitor daily production activities according to the production schedule.
• Achieve production targets, productivity goals, and operational efficiency.
• Deploy and manage manpower across shifts, ensuring optimal workforce utilization.
• Monitor line performance, process parameters, equipment uptime, and loss control.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering and other functions for seamless operations.
• Control wastage, downtime, and process deviations through corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, SOPs, safety standards and company policies.
• Analyze performance data to identify and implement productivity and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, shift reports, and MIS records.
• Train, mentor and develop production team members to enhance technical capability.

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of experience in production/manufacturing, preferably in FMCG or Food & Beverage.
• Hands‑on experience with high‑speed production lines and shift management.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GHP, SOP compliance and safety regulations.
• Proven ability in process optimization, loss control and productivity improvement.
• Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Effective cross‑functional coordination and team leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and production MIS tools.
• Good communication skills and ability to train staff.
• Result‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
