## Job Summary

The DevOps / Platform Engineer at Illuminati Consulting will be responsible for owning and managing the infrastructure and deployment lifecycle of AI-powered applications. This role involves working closely with AI and engineering teams to develop reliable, scalable, and production-ready environments, ensuring seamless transition from development to deployment and production. The engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions that support cutting-edge AI applications, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.

## Responsibilities

• Design and establish development, staging, and production environments tailored for AI applications.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Architect deployment solutions focusing on scalability, high availability, low latency, and system reliability.
• Configure and manage APIs, webhooks, gateways, and integrations to facilitate seamless application connectivity.
• Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to ensure applications are production-ready from the development stage.
• Manage secrets, environment configurations, access controls, and deployment settings securely.
• Establish logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks to maintain system health and performance.
• Support performance testing, production hardening, release management, and go-live activities.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and production issues promptly.
• Support deployment and orchestration of LLM, GenAI, and Agentic AI applications.
• Continuously improve infrastructure reliability, deployment automation, and engineering best practices.

## Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience with production cloud deployments.
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, API gateways, and integrations.
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure fundamentals, networking, load balancing, and security.
• Experience with production monitoring, observability tools, and alerting systems.
• Ability to independently manage applications from development through deployment, testing, and production.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Educational qualifications such as a BTech, BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

## Preferred Skills

• Exposure to LLMs, Generative AI, or Agentic AI platforms.
• Understanding of agent orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, Azure AI Foundry, or similar.
• Experience deploying Python or FastAPI-based applications.
• Familiarity with LLM observability, tracing, token/cost monitoring, and API management.
• Experience working in early-stage or fast-growing technology environments.

## Experience

• 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Proven track record of deploying and managing AI or cloud-native applications at scale.
