Why this role matters

As the Procurement and Logistics Coordinator you will independently obtain market quotes, establish and maintain the supplier database and build the cost database for India, providing reliable and up-to-date cost information that enables the preparation of competitive EPC budgets for bids in India. The role also provides a coordination service to the Project Management Team and Business Development Teams with regards to Procurement and Logistics, ensuring that projects are executed on time and successfully.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Successfully implement the operating system throughout the structuring and execution phase of the Project
  • Independently obtain, review and benchmark market quotes from suppliers, subcontractors and service providers in India for key EPC cost items, including modules, inverters, mounting structures/trackers, BESS, cables, transformers, civil and electrical works, installation labour and logistics
  • Identify, pre-qualify and onboard suppliers and subcontractors, and set up and maintain the India supplier database (capabilities, capacity, certifications, commercial terms, lead times and performance history)
  • Support in building, and maintain the India cost database, ensuring all cost data is structured, sourced, dated and regularly updated to reflect current market pricing
  • Track market price trends, currency movements, taxes and duties (e.g. GST and Basic Customs Duty) and regulatory requirements affecting equipment and service costs in India, and reflect these in the cost database
  • Prepare cost inputs and supporting documentation for EPC budgets for bids in India, ensuring budgets are traceable to current market quotes and database benchmarks
  • Issue budgetary RFQs/RFIs during the bid phase, evaluate responses and prepare cost comparisons and recommendations
  • Highlight cost, supply and delivery risks and opportunities to the Bid Team and Line Manager, and propose mitigations
  • Capture actual costs and lessons learned from bids and executed projects to continuously improve the accuracy of the cost database, tools and templates

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement, cost estimation or supply chain in the renewable energy, EPC or infrastructure sector in India
  • Proven experience obtaining market quotes and building and maintaining supplier and cost databases
  • 2+ years’ experience in Procurement Operating System
