Senior SAP FICO Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP FICO Consultant based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and support SAP FICO solutions across the full implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and post-go-live support. You will play a key role in shaping ERP and SAP application capabilities while ensuring solutions align with business objectives. The position combines functional expertise, technical problem-solving, business process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration. You will translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions, with a strong focus on configuration, RICEF development, testing, and deployment. As a trusted partner to business and technology teams, you will help resolve complex issues and continuously improve processes and system performance. The role also provides opportunities to guide users, support training, contribute to project planning, and influence the evolution of enterprise applications in a collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

• Deliver SAP implementation packages on time and within budget, supporting the complete lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and post-go-live activities.
• Provide functional and technical solutions that meet business requirements using standard SAP methods and best practices.
• Configure, customize, implement, and support SAP FICO solutions across relevant functional areas.
• Translate SAP business requirements into functional specifications covering reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Design, build, test, and deploy SAP FICO technical solutions, with particular emphasis on RICEF components.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal users, providing guidance on SAP functionality, technical environments, and module-specific issues.
• Analyze root causes of business and technology challenges and recommend improvements that increase productivity and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with development teams by providing functional descriptions, business process guidance, and solution requirements.
• Manage and support sub-projects related to ERP, SAP, and application solution delivery.
• Prepare and facilitate user acceptance testing, including test runs and support for users during execution.
• Develop and facilitate training for new or modified systems and create standardized documentation for new developments.
• Contribute to planning activities and support objectives across other IT organizations as required.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in SAP, with strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, or a related field is required; a Master’s or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• SAP certification in the relevant functional area is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FICO configuration, customization, implementation, and production support.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, testing, and deploying SAP solutions, particularly RICEF developments.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into practical functional and technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of business processes within an SAP environment and the ability to communicate requirements effectively to development teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with users and stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while building effective relationships across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Comfortable working under pressure and adapting quickly to new systems, technologies, and business requirements.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to support occasional non-standard working hours, on-call requirements, and business-related travel.
