Internship Opportunity

WSAudiology is looking to hire a Technical Support Intern in Hyderabad to support our Product Engineering organization. This role will work closely with Development and QA teams by assisting with hearing aid device setup, firmware management, test environment preparation, issue reproduction, and day-to-day engineering operations.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to hearing aid products, engineering workflows, testing processes, Azure DevOps, and automation initiatives while supporting teams in delivering high-quality software and firmware releases.

What You Will Do

Support Development and QA Activities

  • Support Development and QA teams with hearing aid fitting, device setup, firmware upgrades and downgrades, build installation, and test environment preparation.
  • Assist in maintaining testing readiness by ensuring devices, firmware versions, and tools are properly configured and available.
  • Support verification activities by preparing required hardware and software configurations.
  • Help coordinate engineering support activities to enable efficient development and testing cycles.

Support Issue Investigation and Troubleshooting

  • Reproduce reported defects and Change Requests (CRs) in controlled test environments.
  • Collect logs, screenshots, diagnostic data, and other relevant information to support investigations.
  • Assist developers and testers in debugging and troubleshooting activities.
  • Document findings and communicate observations clearly to engineering teams.

Manage Engineering Tools and Assets

  • Maintain and track test devices, hearing aids, firmware versions, user accounts, and engineering tools.
  • Support asset inventory, device allocation, and configuration management activities.
  • Track support requests, work items, and tasks through Azure DevOps and other internal systems.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate and up to date.

Support Operations and Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with build deployment and software installation activities.
  • Support documentation updates, reporting, and administrative engineering tasks.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve team productivity through automation.

Learn and Grow

  • Learn internal tools, processes, and product workflows.
  • Gain exposure to software development and testing methodologies.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks with guidance from experienced engineers.
  • Continuously develop technical and professional skills through hands-on project participation.

What You Bring

Experience

  • BE / BTech in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • 0-1 years of experience.
  • Strong academic background with a passion for technology and product development.
  • Internship, academic project, or lab experience in software testing, product engineering, or technical support is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of operating systems, software installation, and configuration management.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git, or similar engineering tools is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices is an advantage.
  • Understanding of unit testing and integration testing concepts.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and document technical information.
  • Interest in automation and process improvement initiatives.

  • Location: Hyderabad (Onsite) - 5 Days work from office
