Reporting to the Engineering Manager and under general supervision, as our Project Engineer you will work in an international team and you will autonomously manage the execution of projects within Electrical Distribution Segment to ensure that the certification projects are delivered on time and with the best quality and experience for our clients.
▪ Manages certification projects for devices in Wiring Devices segment (e.g., connectors, terminal blocks, cable trays, cable glands, industry plugs and sockets, etc.).
▪ Determines project specifications such as: scope, cost, time, sample requirements, technical documentation etc., by analyzing client input, available data and product construction.
▪ Preparing datasheets and instructions, scheduling and reviewing work of Laboratory Technicians and establishing completion dates.
▪ Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, completion date etc., and explains UL procedures and requirements. Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.
▪ Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product evaluations, inspection, plans review and follow-up services.
▪ Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
▪ Develops test requirements for products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment.
▪ Determines areas in which the product may not be in compliance with the applicable Standard based requirements.
▪ Plans, conducts and supervises code and regulatory related projects of major magnitude and scope.
▪ University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program plus four years directly related work experience.
▪ Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
▪ Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in area of expertise.
▪ Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in area of expertise.
What we offer
We understand that remuneration and benefits are important when deciding on your next career move. The annual salary range for this position is EUR 38.100 - 50.800 gross, determined by numerous factors, including knowledge, skills, and experience (Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA): Commerce Sector - Job Classification Level: Level 2-1). This position also offers an annual bonus of up to 10% of annual salary. We also offer 21 vacation days, lunch voucher (10€ per working day),Voluntary Individual Pension Plan, Fiscal Assistance, access to the ULS University learning platform to support your development and learning, two additional days off for volunteering, and flexible working to support your work-life balance.
