The Case Packer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining case packing machinery to ensure the efficient and accurate packaging of products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Safety Regulations.
  • Operate and monitor the case packer during production, following all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
  • Conduct routine inspections of the case packer to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues
  • Prepare the machine according to the production schedule
  • Make necessary adjustments to case packer equipment based on product specifications and parameter
  • Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies at all times Machine Operation:
  • Operate case packing machinery to pack products into cases according to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings to accommodate different product sizes and packaging requirements.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect products and packaging for defects, ensuring only high-quality products are packed.
  • Perform regular quality checks and document results.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Report any major issues to the maintenance team or supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow company policies and regulations related to food safety and quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Complete and maintain accurate production logs, including quantities packed, downtime, and maintenance performed.
  • Report production data and any issues to the supervisor.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel to resolve issues and improve operations.

Work Conditions:

  • Work performed in general food production with exposure to machine noise, ingredient and finished product residues.
  • Food allergens are present in the facility and used daily.
  • Long pants and closed toed shoes are required along with hair/ beard coverings and face masks. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical school or trade certification in food production is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven experience as a Case Packer or similar role in a production environment
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot case packer equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and production schedules
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding role and able to lift weights up to 50 pounds
