Job Description and Duties
In accordance with Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-33-20 and, as a result of the COVID-19 rapid out-break, Caltrans will continue its hiring practices as they are deemed necessary to “maintain continuity of operations of the federal critical infrastructure…,” Candidates who participate in the interview process will be considered essential in promoting this effort and are not in violation of Executive Order N-33-20. Under the supervision of the Office Chief of Maintenance Budget Manager, a Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent provides Position Control administrative support and guidance to the Division of Maintenance staff with regards Clean California efforts.

This position is located in Bakersfield, Kern County
While at their base of operation, employees will work in a climate-controlled office under artificial light. Due to periodic problems with the heating and air conditions, the building temperature may fluctuate.New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
