Responsible for answering calls, managing physician schedules, represents the company with a positive and helpful attitude while on the phone. Responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of communication throughout the offices and work to minimize patient wait times while in queue.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for answering calls to Wellstone Health Partners main phone number

  • Schedules/Reschedules/Cancels appointments

  • Answers questions regarding the doctor office and or specialties

  • Transfers calls to the offices with a positive, professional attitude

  • Responsible for ensuring a smooth flow throughout the office and work to minimize patient wait times on the phone

  • Sends messages to the office and ensures that all messages are handled promptly

  • Responds to requests for medical records and may be assigned other duties during down times

  • Help other clinics as needed

Skills & Attributes:

  • Efficient and accurate data-entry skills

  • Computer literacy and multi-line phone or switchboard experience. If no experience, the prospective receptionist must be able to learn it quickly

  • Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or patients at once

  • Basic knowledge such as basic math, alphabetical or numerical filing may also be required

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Medical Terminology

  • Knowledge in the use of EHR system preferred

Position Qualifications:

A. Education/Skills/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Preference will be given to individuals with previous similar office experience

B. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
  • None
