Compensation: This is a non-exempt, hourly role. Hourly rates start at $19.00+/hr, plus Over Time (paid at 1.5x), plus Bonuses. Annual pay for new hires generally ranges between $48,671.00 and $91,648.00 or more, depending on experience, overtime hours worked and bonuses.

Under general supervision, the dispatcher is responsible for performing a variety of dispatching tasks. The dispatcher will schedule and dispatch drivers, verify orders, inventory stock and arrange inbound and outbound freight.


  • Build, schedule, and consolidate product deliveries into truckloads through use of strategic routing software.
  • Monitors driver’s activity throughout the day to ensure deliveries are completed, productivity and safety measures are achieved, and any and all issues are resolved before end of day.
  • Communicates and updates MSI personnel with delivery details including changes, delays, delivery or pickup times/eta’s, and special handling requests.
  • Arranges for necessary preventive maintenance and repairs for equipment
  • Serves as the catalyst for maintaining customer, driver, warehouse, sales and management satisfaction levels by meeting delivery expectations without compromising safety or productivity
  • Monitor all transportation activities to ensure FMCSA and DOT compliance for both drives and vehicles (Hours of Service, GVWR, DQ Files, Medical & License Expirations, etc.).
  • Provides feedback to management for process improvement through running of reports or on site observations
  • Collects, systematically uploads, and stores all necessary documentation for outbound freight, driver compliance and vehicle maintenance records (Inspections, Citations, registration, POD's, Insurance, etc.) in accordance with DOT or Company guidelines.
  • Monitors driver and equipment utilization -provides feedback for under or over utilization
  • Partners with supply chain teams to solve delivery problems and strategizes on process improvement


  • High School Education required

  • 1+ years experience dispatching drivers
  • Experience using routing Software; Descartes Software Preferred
  • Experience using or Safety geared software; LYTX/ Drive Cam Preferred
  • Experience using ELD and asset tracking software; Geo tab Preferred
  • Experience maintaining DOT compliance for both Drivers and Vehicles
  • Possesses a CDL- Class A Preferred
